As part of the 8th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports (AMMS 8) and the 16th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Sports (SOMS 16), a captivating exhibition took place from October 13-17.
Hosted by the Sports Authority of Vietnam, in partnership with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, this showcase offered ASEAN sports officials and global guests a glimpse into Vietnam’s breathtaking destinations, vibrant cultural heritage, and remarkable sporting achievements.
The exhibition featured stunning photographs, including the vibrant buckwheat fields of Ha Giang’s rocky plateau, the picturesque terraced rice fields, and the serene reflection of The Huc Bridge in Hoan Kiem Lake.
Guests were also treated to visuals of the Central Highlands Gong Festival, the traditional Tu Lu folk game of the Mong ethnic group, the majestic Thai Vi Temple procession in Ninh Binh province, and the iconic Dong Ho folk paintings.
Beyond cultural highlights, the event celebrated Vietnam’s athletic prowess, showcasing medals from the SEA Games and ASIAD, alongside profiles of top athletes, embodying the nation’s spirit of resilience, determination, and pursuit of excellence.
By hosting AMMS 8 and SOMS 16, Vietnam solidified its growing influence and international standing in regional sports cooperation, while presenting itself as a dynamic, innovative, and culturally rich nation.
The event fostered deeper connections among international delegates, who admired the Vietnamese people for their warmth, hospitality, resilience, and ambition, strengthening bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation within the ASEAN community.
