According to details given by the Mister and Miss Grand International Organization on its page, the 2023 edition of the contest is gearing up to be hosted Vietnam, a land which has been dubbed the place of “Asia’s Timeless Charm”.
The details of specific times and dates for the event have so far yet to be unveiled.
Originally established in 2017, MGI represents the grandest international male pageant and aims to develop young men into exemplary leaders through empowerment.
The 2019 competition witnessed Nguyen Van Tuan become the first Vietnamese representative crowned as Mister Grand International.
Other previous local representatives at the pageant include Nguyen Tien Dat, Ly Cao Thien Son, and Nguyen Vu Linh, who won runner-up titles in 2017, 2018, and 2022, respectively.
Recently, the Mister and Miss Grand International Organization announced that Miss Grand International 2023 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City this October.
This will mark the second time the country as hosted the contest, with the first being back in 2017 at the Vinpearl Convention Center on Phu Quoc island. The winner of Miss Grand International 2022, Isabella Menin of Brazil, will crown her successor in the grand final of the 11th edition on October 25.
Vietnamese beauties have achieved strong finishes seven times over the past 10 years. Most notably, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was crowned Miss Grand International 2021, whilst last year saw Doan Thien An clinch a Top 20 spot at the world pageant.
