The event is open to all Vietnamese people and overseas Vietnamese, as well as foreigners living in Vietnam.

Entries submitted to the contest can be either single images or photo sets, featuring Vietnam’s nature and daily life as well as tangible and intangible heritages.

They should reflect the natural beauty, cultural life and activities of people living along rivers around the country.

Each photographer can send their photographs via e-mail to [email protected] before October 1.

Since it was first held in 2012, the contest has attracted a large number of organisations, individuals and photographers in the country and abroad. The event has contributed to promoting the most beautiful images of Vietnam to international friends as well as raising public awareness of preserving cultural heritages and natural values.

The awards ceremony is expected to be held late November in Ho Chi Minh City.

The top 100 photos will be displayed from October to after the 2017 Lunar New Year at tourism centres, museums and universities in several cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Da Nang and Hanoi.
