A series of activities will be held as part of the programme, including the Designed by Vietnam contest, Design of the Year award, and Design Fair Vietnam.

The Designed by Vietnam contest, which was launched in late April under the theme of “Embracing Constraints,” has received 150 entries so far.

31 designs have been selected for an exhibition during Vietnam Design Week 2023 and the final round of the contest.

The highlight of the event will be the inaugural Design of the Year Award 2023, which aims to recognize the best designs in Vietnam.

In addition, the Design Fair Vietnam will feature 50 exhibitors showcasing products in various fields, including furniture, decoration, handicrafts, fashion, and media across more than 100 booths.

This event is organized jointly by Vietnam Design Group, Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), the Copyright Office of Vietnam (COV) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi Municipal Department of Culture and Sports. It aims to discover and honor exceptional products and designers in Vietnam.
