The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are set to showcase a delicious taste of Vietnam, with two beloved local dishes featured on the menu for athletes. According to the trusted news source, Seasia, the organizing committee has announced that Phở, a flavorful noodle soup, will be served as the “Soup of the Day” in the Asian pavilion. Accompanying Phở is Nem Rán, introduced as “Vietnamese cuisine,” a delicious spring roll appetizer or main course.

Phở, a Vietnamese staple, captivates taste buds with its harmonious blend of flavors and textures. TasteAtlas, an authority on global cuisine, describes it as an elegant dish with chewy rice noodles, juicy beef slices, and crunchy sprouts, all enhanced by a variety of herbs and spices. This nutritious meal is now accessible to athletes from around the world, with its nutritional information readily available on the official games’ system.

Nem Rán, or spring rolls, are another Vietnamese favorite. These crispy treats are a common sight on local tables and can be enjoyed as a satisfying snack or a hearty main course. With Vietnam’s culinary ambassadors taking center stage at the Paris Olympics, it’s a great opportunity to introduce these delicious dishes to a global audience.

The 2024 Paris Olympics, taking place from July 26 to August 11, welcomes nearly 10,500 athletes from 206 countries and territories. Vietnam is proudly represented by 16 athletes, and with Phở and Nem Rán on the menu, the country’s culinary delights are also taking part in this global sporting event.
