A three-year-old child was able to survive a dislocation after falling 50 meters from a balcony in an apartment complex on Nguyen Huy Tuong Street. This fortunate outcome was made possible thanks to the heroic actions of Nguyen Ngoc Manh, a 31-year-old truck driver who happened to be parked nearby. Manh bravely climbed up a corrugated roof and managed to catch the falling child.
Manh, who sustained minor arm injuries during the incident, expressed that his life has been completely disrupted as a result. His narrative gained substantial attention from both national and international media, propelling him to sudden fame.
According to VNE’s report, he was often referred to as a hero, which made him feel uneasy.
“I do not perceive myself as a hero; my intentions are solely focused on doing good,” he declared at the time.
