The Warm Welcome: A Historic Visit from President Putin to Hanoi

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his high-ranking delegation touched down at Noi Bai International Airport on the evening of June 19, kicking off a state visit to Vietnam from June 19-20. The visit was made at the invitation of Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong.

This marks the fifth time the Russian President has visited Vietnam, underscoring the strong ties between the two nations.

The visit is of utmost importance, aiming to further strengthen the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership across a multitude of fields.

The Russian President’s state visit coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Treaty on the Principles of Friendly Relations and the upcoming 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2025.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is greeted upon his arrival, with the visit expected to further enhance bilateral relations between Vietnam and Russia.
