As the sun begins its descent around 4:00 pm, a vibrant crowd of young people dressed in colorful outfits gathers at Cua Lap Beach in Duong To Commune. They come to capture memorable moments against the backdrop of a picturesque reed field, the breathtaking sunset, and the dramatic approach of planes descending upon the island.

Mai Thi Hong Ngan, a visitor from An Giang Province in the Mekong Delta, shared her enthusiasm for the island’s diverse attractions: “Phu Quoc is blessed with an abundance of pristine beaches, each offering its unique charm.” She particularly praised Cua Lap Beach for its enchanting reed field and soft golden sand, making it the perfect spot to witness stunning sunsets and plane sightings as they arrive at or depart from the nearby international airport.
“My friends and I love spending time on the beach, soaking in the relaxed atmosphere while enjoying the fresh air, taking photos, and indulging in delicious local cuisine,” Ngan added, beaming with delight.
Tran Chau Ai, a local resident from Go Quao District in Kien Giang Province, also shared her appreciation for the island’s sunsets: “The sunset on Phu Quoc Island is a daily spectacle, and I often find myself drawn to Cua Lap Beach to witness the golden hour and the graceful approach of planes. It’s an experience that never ceases to amaze.”
According to the provincial Department of Tourism, Phu Quoc has been bustling with activity, receiving a steady stream of 55-60 flights daily, bringing both local and international tourists to explore its wonders.
The province of Kien Giang is committed to developing a range of tourism products and services that showcase its diverse attractions, including its idyllic islets, pristine beaches, rustic rural areas, historical relics, and rich cultural heritage.
