As of its release, the book ranked 26th in Global Marketing on the Kindle Store and 97th in Global Marketing on Amazon Books, an impressive feat for any author.

Profit-Driven Digital Marketing is currently available in ebook, paperback, hardcover, and audiobook formats. It has gained traction among Amazon customers in the U.S., the UK, Germany, Canada, Japan, and the Netherlands, showcasing its international appeal.

The English edition, released on Amazon in March, is a translation of the author’s prior Vietnamese publication, Digital Marketing Cho Nhà Quản Lý, which debuted in December 2022.

Quan Vo, with his extensive 15-year experience in digital marketing, wanted to create a comprehensive guide that compiled his insights and advice for entrepreneurs seeking consultancy.

“My primary goal in writing this book was to share my knowledge and experiences in a more accessible and effective manner with a broader audience,” Quan explained.

Despite being written from a business perspective, Profit-Driven Digital Marketing is notably free of technical jargon, making it a user-friendly resource for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“The book focuses on practical lessons and experiences from my journey in marketing for both Vietnamese and international brands over the past 15 years,” Quan said.

He added, “It’s not just about success; it also includes the failures and challenges I’ve faced. By reading my story, readers can learn from my mistakes and navigate their path to success.”

Quan described the book as “a casual coffee talk with business owners who are striving to succeed in their respective markets.”

The process of writing and publishing the book was a labor of love for Quan. It took him approximately a year and a half to craft the Vietnamese version, ensuring it was accessible to readers, and an additional four months to release the English edition.

According to Quan, the English translation maintains the essence of the original while incorporating some edits to align it with the global marketing landscape. For instance, references to Zalo, a popular marketing channel in Vietnam, were switched to WhatsApp to reflect international usage.

“It’s all about understanding local user behavior,” Quan explained. “In Vietnam, it’s common to offer advice to customers via Zalo, Facebook Messenger, or phone calls. In contrast, in other countries, consumers are more accustomed to receiving advertising emails and making purchases through websites.”

The books ‘Profit-Driven Digital Marketing’ and its Vietnamese predecessor, ‘Digital Marketing Cho Nhà Quản Lý,’ showcase Quan Vo’s expertise.

Sharing Local Insights with a Global Audience

The publication of Profit-Driven Digital Marketing has not only advanced Quan’s career but also enabled him to share Vietnamese marketing expertise with international audiences, which he considers a significant accomplishment.

“We are known for exporting goods, such as agricultural products, but now we have the opportunity to ‘export’ our knowledge to a global readership,” he said proudly.

Quan and his team have successfully placed the book in the libraries of 12 prestigious universities in Ireland, including Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, and University College Cork.

Ireland holds a special place in Quan’s heart, as he was awarded the Irish Aid IDEAS fellowship for his master’s degree in management at Trinity Business School in 2017.

In addition to the Irish institutions, Leeds Beckett University in the UK has also added Profit-Driven Digital Marketing to its library, further expanding the reach of Quan’s work.

Beyond his professional pursuits in marketing and writing, Quan is also dedicated to giving back to the community. He is involved in a project called Goc Sach Viet (Vietnamese Book Corner), through which he and fellow authors donate books to libraries at Vietnamese universities.

The project has successfully distributed around 1,000 books across 12 titles to 20 schools in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, enriching the resources available to students.

“While my book is primarily aimed at business owners, it can also offer valuable insights to graduating students or recent graduates about the business owner mindset,” Quan shared.

He added, “It provides a practical and realistic guide to digital marketing, and I believe it can be a useful resource for students interested in this field. That’s why I invited other authors with excellent books to join me in this donation initiative.”

Additionally, Quan hosts a self-help podcast targeted at young individuals facing challenges in their personal and professional lives, offering guidance and inspiration.
