For five consecutive years, the France-Vietnam Friendship Association of Eure-et-Loir province has organized this event, and it continues to draw a strong crowd of locals eager to immerse themselves in Vietnamese culture and contribute to a worthy cause.
Gilbert Tenèze, Chairman of the association, shared with the Vietnam News Agency that what started as a show of support for Tran To Nga and countless other Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin victims in Vietnam has now evolved into a celebration of Vietnamese culture and history.
The event shines a light on the resilience of the Vietnamese people in their fight to protect their territorial sovereignty over the East Sea and preserve their rich traditions in the face of international integration. Mr. Tenèze emphasized the solidarity between France and Vietnam, stating that the French people stand united with Vietnam in all their struggles.
Attending the event was 82-year-old Tran To Nga, a French-Vietnamese woman who has tirelessly advocated for justice for millions of AO/dioxin victims.
