according to Indian Consul General Madan Mohan Sethi, India and Vietnam are collaborating on a film project titled ‘Love for Vietnam’.

This announcement was made by Sethi at the opening ceremony of the Namaste Vietnam 2024 Festival, which took place in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.

The annual festival, spanning from August 25 to 31, is being held across three locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang City in Khanh Hoa Province, and Da Lat City in Lam Dong Province.

Organized by the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, and the Vietnam-India Friendship Association (VIFA), the festival aims to strengthen ties between India and Vietnam through a diverse range of events centered around trade, tourism, education, film, and cultural exchange.

During the opening ceremony, held at the renowned Rex Hotel in District 1, Consul General Sethi revealed that the upcoming film will delve into the romantic tale of an Indian man falling in love with a Vietnamese woman.

With Vietnam’s scenic beauty as its backdrop, the movie will be filmed in multiple locations, including Da Lat, Da Nang City, and Quang Nam Province.

Sethi also shared that the film will showcase unique aspects of Vietnamese culture, including its cuisine, art, and the warm hospitality of its people.

Huynh Thanh Lap, chairman of the VIFA’s Ho Chi Minh City chapter, emphasized the significance of the film in promoting Vietnamese tourism to Indian and international audiences.

Sethi noted that the Namaste Vietnam 2024 Festival has brought together 20 renowned Indian artists, including prominent figures from Bollywood, to foster deeper cultural and artistic connections between the two countries.

Among the notable attendees are Avika Gor, the lead actress of the beloved Indian TV series ‘Balika Vadhu’; model and actress Sara Khan; the multi-talented Sonal Pradhan, who is both a singer and an actress; and film director Rahat Kazmi, to name a few.
