The Thuan Hoa District’s Park Management Center director, Duong Quang Hien, confirmed on Friday that the promenade project carries a price tag of over VND 20 billion (US$787,000).
This extensive walkway, measuring 432 meters in length and three meters in width, will be constructed with a robust reinforced concrete base. It will be topped with 50mm-thick ironwood planks, covering a total area of 1,298 square meters.
Additionally, a semicircular stage spanning 430 square meters will be built in the area. This stage will mirror the design of the walkway, featuring the same concrete base and a smooth wooden surface.
The seating area will be a picturesque landscape of seasonal flowers, lush grass, and terraced stone benches stretching across 334 meters. It will be equipped with lighting and have the capacity to accommodate up to 6,000 people for large-scale outdoor events and performances.

Slated to open its doors to the public on March 26, this new promenade will seamlessly connect to an existing wooden riverside walkway constructed in 2018 on the southern bank of the Perfume River.
The earlier walkway, a substantial structure in its own right, spans 380 meters in length and four meters in width. It was brought to life with an investment of VND64 billion ($2.5 million).
