Since the beginning of 2023, Khanh Hoa Province, home to Nha Trang City, has hosted a considerable number of prominent South Korean visitors.
A team of talented individuals from South Korean broadcast media company MBN, including artist Noh Hong Chul, comedienne Lee Guk-joo, and singer KCM, recently embarked on a trip to Nha Trang. Their purpose was to create a captivating tourism film showcasing the beauty and attractions of this wonderful city. Their visit took place in early February, and they worked tirelessly to capture the essence of Nha Trang in their production.
A group of South Korean artists recently had the pleasure of exploring VinWonders, a world-renowned theme park located on the beautiful Hon Tre Island. During their visit, they indulged in the unique experience of mud-bathing, enjoyed a shopping spree, and delighted in the delectable seafood offerings at a picturesque riverside restaurant.
In late May, notable actress Eugene, renowned for her lead role in the hit series “The Penthouse,” treated her loved ones to a leisurely getaway in the captivating region of Khanh Hoa.
She shared stunning images of the picturesque beaches and mouthwatering cuisine in Nha Trang on her Instagram account, accompanied by the caption, “Nha Trang – Vietnam, truly enchanting…!”
The post garnered a high volume of likes and comments, with many expressing admiration for the beauty of Nha Trang.
Several South Korean celebrities have recently visited Nha Trang, including Hyelin, a singer and member of the K-pop girl group EXID. Park Ji Hoon, a member of the boy band Wanna One, has also been spotted in town. Additionally, actors Shin Seung Ho and Hong Kyung have made appearances in Nha Trang.
The cast of the film “Doctor Cha,” consisting of Uhm Jung Hwa, Kim Byung Chul, and Myung Se Bin, recently made a trip to Nha Trang in late June to commemorate the film’s achievements.
Miss Korea 2022, Lee Seung Hyun, and the runner-up, Choi Jung Yoon, visited Nha Trang from July 23rd to 26th for the K-Trend x Miss Korea in Vietnam game show. The show aims to showcase renowned tourist destinations in the Southeast Asian country.
During their visit to Nha Trang, the two South Korean tourists had the opportunity to explore a variety of popular tourist destinations. They visited the Ba Ponagar Tower cluster, Long Son Pagoda, Kong Forest Park, and the Memento tourism area. Additionally, they enjoyed kayaking and indulged in the delicious local cuisine.

According to a spokesperson from a resort located near Bai Dai Beach in Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province, there is a strong preference among South Korean tourists, including celebrities, for high-end resorts with complete amenities and luxurious accommodations.

The endorsement of a tourist site by a celebrity online can greatly increase its appeal and attract a larger number of visitors. This proves to be an effective channel for promoting tourism,” Nhut commented.
South Korean tourists often prefer to visit renowned and recommended destinations.
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the province received a total of 130,000 South Korean visitors in the month of July.
According to recent data, Khanh Hoa is anticipated to welcome approximately 900,000 visitors from South Korea in the year 2023, due to the significant increase in arrivals from this East Asian nation.
Thirteen flights depart daily from South Korea to Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa.
There has been a noticeable increase in flights and the utilization of larger aircraft by Vietnamese and South Korean airlines in order to accommodate the growing demand from South Korean passengers.
