Nghia Phat Market holds a special place in the couple’s heart.

Chan spent his childhood near the wet market, and Hang often visited to buy fresh seafood and vegetables.

In just 30 minutes, they navigated the market’s alleyways, capturing their love against a backdrop of Vietnamese tradition and southern culture.

The vendors enthusiastically supported the photo shoot, going out of their way to ensure the couple had a perfect experience.

Hang wanted these pre-wedding photos to capture not only their love but also to evoke memories of a time when visiting the local wet market with mothers and grandmothers was a daily excitement – a tradition fading due to the rise of e-commerce.

“We want our future children to see these photos and understand the beauty of a simple life,” she said.

Hang To and Chun Chan, both dancers, first met at an event in 2012. They reconnected in 2015 and began a romantic relationship a year later.

In July 2023, Hang proposed to Chan at a birthday party, a memorable moment for the couple.
