The province of Ben Tre, in collaboration with the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, hosted a unique event, celebrating International Yoga Day while commemorating 52 years of Vietnam-India diplomatic relations and 17 years of their comprehensive strategic partnership. This event highlighted the role of women in societal progress, recognizing their invaluable contributions to families and the development of their nations and the world.

Nguyen Thi Be Muoi, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee, emphasized how yoga’s holistic approach to wellness empowers women, enhancing their physical and mental strength to thrive in all areas of life. The event served as a cultural, sporting, and tourism exchange, fostering solidarity between India and Vietnam, with Ben Tre taking center stage.

Deepak Yadav, Secretary of the Indian Consulate General, revealed that the previous year’s International Yoga Day witnessed an impressive turnout, with 23.44 million participants, showcasing the global appeal of this ancient practice.
