The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have issued Decision No. 1608/QD-BVHTTDL on organising the exhibition.
The exhibition is an activity within the framework of the second national festival of Dao ethnic culture 2022 in Thai Nguyen province, held from October 6 to 8.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Ethnic Culture to coordinate with the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups and related units, to organise an exhibition with the content of introducing and displaying the images of the Vietnamese people, photos, artefacts, costumes, ethnic musical instruments, ancient letters and books, and typical ethnic cultural products, imbued with the traditional cultural identity of the Dao ethnic group.
The exhibition aims to honour the traditional cultural values of the Dao ethnic group in the unified and diverse culture of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, associated with progressive elements of the times to promote and create a cultural space for artisans, actors and athletes to meet, exchange experiences, and raise awareness in preserving and promoting the traditional culture of the Dao people in the period of integration and development.
The second national festival of Dao ethnic culture 2022 in Thai Nguyen province is a large-scale cultural event, which will take place from October 6 to 8, with the participation of 12 provinces: Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Son La, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc and Yen Bai.
The theme of the festival is “Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Dao ethnic group with equality, solidarity, integration and development”.
