The programme is aiming to draw the participation of over 100 people from 15 different ethnic groups, including the Tay, the Dao, the Mong, the Nung, the Thai, the Muong, the Kho Mu, and the Ta Oi, among others.
The occasion will introduce visitors to ethnic folk songs, whilst offering guests the chance to sample some authentic delicacies, stay in a homestay of the ethnic groups from across the country, in addition to making various pieces of traditional musical instruments.
Moreover, sporting events and traditional games will also serve as an indispensable part of the month-long event.
Organisers anticipate that the January event will serve to promote unique ethnic culture whilst also helping foreign tourists understand the nation’s diverse culture during the festive Tet period.
