The villa compound is located in the midst of a pine forest at the heart of the Tuyen Lam Lake tourist area, offering a picturesque location with mountains in the backdrop and a captivating view of the scenic lake.
The construction of the 15 villas began along a winding road in the tourist zone as part of a project that was approved over 15 years ago.

The construction project was started by HaCo JSC in 2007, but has been left unfinished for several years, according to the lake’s management board.
The authorities have yet to determine the reason behind the halt in construction.

During a visit to the villas earlier this month, Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper’s reporter found them in an incomplete state, with the structural framework still intact.
Due to years of neglect, the structures have suffered significant deterioration, with numerous cracks and leaks.

The area surrounding the villas is now overgrown with thriving weeds.
The walls facing the street have been covered in graffiti, featuring erratic and uneven figures.

Encompassing an area of 2,944 hectares, including a water surface of 350 hectares, Tuyen Lam Lake and its surroundings were designated as a national tourism zone in 2017, and are considered one of the must-visit destinations in Da Lat.
The lake is located approximately six kilometers to the south of Da Lat City.

The surrounding area enjoys a cool and refreshing climate, providing a peaceful environment with a diverse range of natural landscapes, including forests, hills, lakes, streams, and waterfalls, all of which are highly attractive to tourists.
Tourism services have been operational at the lake since 2004.

A total of 39 investors have implemented tourism service projects with a total investment of VND9.6 trillion (US$392.5 million) within Tuyen Lam Lake, but only 15 projects have been completed, according to Nguyen Quoc Tuyen, director of the lake’s management board.
