The festival is part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic ties (September 21, 1973-2023).
The festival will feature 70 pavilions from both domestic and foreign organisations and units, introducing the culture, education, tourism, trade and cuisine of the two countries.
In addition, many traditional art performances from Vietnam and Japan, including Tuong (classical drama), Japanese calligraphy, traditional and modern dances and traditional martial arts.
The festival is expected to contribute to enhancing the mutual understanding and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan, towards celebrating the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
The event will also deepen the friendship between Vietnam and Japanese localities and partners in the near future.
The opening ceremony for the festival will be held at Bien Dong (East Sea) Park at 7 pm on July 14.
Sam Son sea festival slated for April 21
The 2018 sea festival of Sam Son city of the north central coastal province of Thanh Hoa will take place on April 21, heard a press conference held in the city on April 12.
