The pilot plan for the city’s historic bridge aims to diversify its tourism offerings and create a unique attraction on the Han River.
Starting in the first quarter of 2024, Da Nang City will introduce various tourism services on the bridge and in nearby parks as part of the initial phase of the plan.
As part of the plan, the city will install lighting systems on the bridge and at the park located east of the foot of the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge. Additionally, the city will create picturesque spots for photoshoots in the parks near the bridge.
Photo exhibitions will be hosted quarterly on the historic bridge or in nearby parks, coinciding with national holidays.
At night on weekends, music performances featuring traditional, ethnic, and folk music will be organized to captivate both residents and tourists.
Book-reading and beer festivals may be held in the parks near the bridge, and fast-food and beverage services will be available in the surrounding areas to attract visitors.

Built in 1951 by U.S. contractor RMK, the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge spans over 500 meters and consists of 13 spans.
A decade ago, the municipal Department of Transport conducted repairs and upgrades to the bridge after the city administration decided to preserve it and convert it into a pedestrian bridge, according to Da Nang Bridge and Road JSC.
To accommodate the passage of passenger ships, the vertical clearance of one span was raised by three meters.
