Addressing the ceremony, Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee, emphasized that the annual festival would offer a delightful experience for both locals and tourists. It aims to provide them with a deeper understanding of Korean culture and tourism, promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.
The main event of the festival is taking place at Bien Dong Park, featuring a diverse range of cultural activities and artistic performances for guests to enjoy.
Throughout the three-day festival, visitors can explore 60 booths that provide information about culture and tourism. These booths also showcase typical products, traditional dishes, and folk games from both Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to watch complimentary screenings at CGV cinemas and participate in the Vietnam-Korea Food Contest.
As part of the festival, the Korean club Seung Ri will showcase a Taekwondo performance.
The final round of the Vietnam-RoK Talent competition will feature over 20 performances from participants representing both nations.
In addition, Korean artists will visit the Hope Village in Da Nang to have an exchange with underprivileged children. They plan to provide gifts to orphans and deliver engaging music and dance performances.
The festival was first organized in 2022 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties. The 2023 festival is a collaborative effort between Da Nang’s Department of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Da Nang.
