The exhibition, titled “Acquired Identity,” is a cornerstone of the celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Poland and Vietnam.

Curators describe “Acquired Identity” as an artistic exploration of the dual cultural existence experienced by those straddling Vietnamese and Polish heritages. The showcased pieces draw inspiration from the artist’s Vietnamese roots and his three-decade-long life in Poland.

This exhibition invites viewers on an intimate voyage through themes of identity, separation, memory, and reconnection. It weaves a narrative of rediscovering one’s origins while simultaneously cultivating new ones.

The artworks provide a profound, multi-layered perspective on the immigrant journey. They capture the initial disorientation and struggle for belonging, ultimately revealing how a multicultural identity can evolve into a source of empowerment rather than a burden.

Strategic lighting and layout design will create distinct emotional atmospheres – a cool, nostalgic Polish ambiance and a warm, familiar Vietnamese vibe – guiding visitors through the artist’s identity exploration.

The December 9th opening ceremony featured a performance by the renowned OSP Nadarzyn Orchestra, celebrated as one of the world’s premier brass ensembles.

Running until December 26th, the exhibition offers a rich program including workshops, artist talks, guided tours, and an online painting competition. These events foster direct engagement with the artist and provide opportunities to delve into watercolor techniques.
