With a focus on societal and historical education through interactive activities, the festival featured a diverse range of offerings. From festive celebrations and cultural performances to engaging hands-on games, the event also coincided with International Children’s Day, the Month of Action for Children, and the lead-up to a significant anniversary: 70 years since the Liberation of the Capital.
One of the highlights of the festival was its emphasis on positive values and family bonding. Children enthusiastically participated in activities that fostered teamwork and a stronger connection with their loved ones. The “Green” market, with its recycled toys, accessories, and decorations, was a unique attraction, teaching young minds about the importance of recycling and waste reduction.
Huong, a teacher at Thach Da A Primary School, applauded the event’s successful blend of entertainment and education: “The children are having fun while also learning how to protect nature. These activities will instill in them a sense of responsibility for Vietnam’s future.”

The young attendees were equally enthralled by the creative activities and the environmental message they conveyed. Patriotism was also a central theme, with the “Uncle Ho with Children” photo exhibition warming hearts and showcasing Uncle Ho’s affection, care, and guidance for the younger generation. These images will undoubtedly become invaluable treasures for future generations.
Adding to the educational aspect, the exhibition area displayed winning entries from the 2024 Children’s Stamp Collection and Research Competition. With the theme “70 Years of the Historic Dien Bien Phu Victory through Postage Stamps,” this exhibit enhanced children’s understanding of Vietnam’s rich history and the bravery displayed during the resistance war against French colonialism.
The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by renowned artists like Xuan Bac and Tu Long, beauty queens, models, child singers, fashion designer Ngo Nhat Huy, and performers from the Vietnam Circus Federation, ensuring that the children had a memorable and enjoyable experience.
The 24th “World Children’s Day Festival” successfully provided children with a valuable opportunity to play, learn, and be entertained. Through this event, they gained precious lessons about history, culture, and environmental stewardship, shaping them into responsible citizens of Vietnam.
