The five representatives of Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar embarked on a journey to Thieng Lieng Hamlet in Thanh An Island Commune, where they engaged in various local tourism activities.

The excursion was undertaken as part of the travel expo, held from Thursday morning to Saturday, in Ho Chi Minh City.
The travel trade fair united high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Tourism in Cambodia, the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism in Laos, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Additionally, the event attracted a diverse audience of 3,500 delegates from 45 provinces and cities throughout Vietnam, along with representatives from 42 other countries and regions.
The group of five beauty queens dressed in casual attire as they embarked on a cycling tour to explore the scenic island commune, a noteworthy destination in Ho Chi Minh City.
The hamlet possesses abundant ecotourism potential despite the ongoing challenges faced by its residents.

During their visit to the hamlet, the group of five individuals not only had the opportunity to learn about the cultural features but also indulge in a variety of local delicacies. One notable delicacy they tried was “suong sam,” a dessert made from tiliacora triandra leaves, accompanied by coconut ice cream and a selection of southern folk cakes.
In addition, they also embarked on a venture as salt farmers, immersing themselves in the daily routines of the local residents in this serene coastal region.

The Gala Night Vietnam, titled ‘Shape of Vietnam’, held as part of the 17th travel expo, saw the presence of five esteemed beauty queens: Bao Ngoc from Vietnam, Sireethorn Leearamwat from Thailand, Khit Lin Latt Yoon from Myanmar, Sophorn Phum from Cambodia, and Phetmany Philakong from Laos.
The gala night was distinguished by a captivating array of Vietnamese art performances and various cultural activities.
The international queens expressed their fondness for Vietnamese cuisine, specifically mentioning their love for iconic dishes such as pho, a traditional Vietnamese soup; banh mi, a flavorful baguette stuffed with a combination of paste, cold cuts, herbs, cucumber, chili sauce, and pickles; and bun cha, delicious rice noodles served with grilled pork and meatballs.
In addition, the Lao queen announced her intention to revisit Vietnam in October to attend the Miss Grand International 2023 event.
