The program was announced at a press conference held by the provincial Department of Tourism on Monday afternoon.

Trinh Hang, director of the tourism department, told the press briefing that tourism has been the locomotive of the province’s economic growth.

The southern province launched the Summer Impression program last year, making it an annual tourism promotion drive to offer local residents and visitors fun-filled and unforgettable experiences in the summertime, the official said.

This year, the Summer Impression program is scheduled to take place from July 8 to 23 at the Ho Tram Beach area, located in Xuyen Moc District.

These kites will be flown by kite artisans from home and overseas between July 15 and 16.

Besides, the province will host many other fun water sports activities, such as standup paddle boarding, kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, surfing, and windsurfing.
