The wedding celebration of Nguyen Anh Nguyet and Andrew Macpherson was a joyous and unique affair, filled with laughter and cultural traditions.
The sound of squealing pigs echoed from a bamboo basket, a light-hearted moment that entertained the wedding guests.
The couple’s love story began in Australia, where Nguyet, a former receptionist at Furama Resort Da Nang, had moved to in 2011 for her studies. She worked hard to support herself, connecting with elite, political, and celebrity clients in the property market.

It was during this time that she serendipitously met Macpherson, a chance encounter that would change her life forever. As their relationship progressed, Nguyet learned that her partner was not only a well-known racer but also a successful businessman and millionaire.
“I was amazed when he shared his photos, company name, and personal information. I had no idea that my husband was so famous, with his pictures all over the internet,” Nguyet recalled.
Macpherson’s accomplishments included participating in world-renowned racing tournaments and owning a meat and seafood export company, as well as a firm associated with the Australian racing tournament GT World Challenge Asia GT3.

Their wedding was a celebration of their love and a fusion of cultures. Macpherson, enamored with Vietnam and the warmth of its people, chose to hold the ceremony in Da Nang, on a beach that held a special place in Nguyet’s heart. The event was attended by approximately 100 guests, who witnessed the couple’s happiness and joy.
Nguyet reflected on her journey, expressing her gratitude for finding her soulmate and being able to share her happiest moments in her homeland. Da Nang, it seems, has become a favored destination for celebrity and billionaire weddings in recent years.
