On Sunday morning, Novotel Nha Trang, Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh, Ibis Styles Nha Trang, and Handwritten Ibis Phu Yen hotels initiated the Dragon Walk For Change 2024. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of their staff, tourists, and locals, uniting for a charitable cause.

Beyond being a mere walk, the event carried a deeper purpose—not just to support those in need but also to inspire a charitable spirit within the community.

Participants had the option to walk or run, choosing between a five-kilometer and a ten-kilometer route, accommodating different fitness levels and preferences.

Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong, general manager of Novotel Nha Trang and a representative of the organizing committee, emphasized that the walk went beyond physical activity. It served as a platform to shed light on the often-overlooked issues of underprivileged children and labor trafficking victims in Vietnam, bringing much-needed attention and support.

The event successfully raised a substantial fund of approximately VND62 million (equivalent to US$2,520). These funds will be entrusted to charitable organizations dedicated to aiding impoverished children and victims of human trafficking, as confirmed by the organizers.

Van Phu Khanh, one of the participants, shared his enthusiasm for the event, suggesting that such meaningful fundraising initiatives should be expanded to engage an even larger audience. He expressed his delight in being part of a collective effort that positively impacts the community.

“It was an honor to join hands with locals and tourists alike, knowing that together, we made a difference,” he added.
