The five-day event featured nearly 60 cultural, art, sporting and trade activities as well as scientific seminars.
During the festival, many events and rituals highlighted the traditional cultural value of the province in particular and the South-Central Coastal region of the country in general, including the Cau Ngu Festival (a festival to pray for a good fishing harvest), Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Festival, folk games and a swimming competition.
In addition, visitors to the festival also enjoyed numerous modern events such as a fine art exhibition, a children’s painting contest themed ‘Khanh Hoa in my eyes’, a world music festival and a street art show.
The exciting festive atmosphere and the variety of programmes gave a good impression of Nha Trang as a beautiful green, clean, and friendly seaside city. Its activities also aimed to raise awareness of protecting the sea and island environments.
The biennial Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival began in 2003 and has become one of the most important events of the locality, contributing to attracting more visitors and promoting tourism in the province.
