The event saw the presence of Secretary of Party Central Committee and President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.
According to the Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thang, since its first edition in 2014, the Hoa Ban Festival has become a typical cultural and tourist brand of Dien Bien Province.
The event offered an opportunity for Dien Bien to enhance and expand its connection with many provinces, cities and the business community in cooperation, investment-trade promotion, tourist routes and socio-economic development.
The spread of Hoa Ban Festival is expected to help the successful realisation of the goal of turning tourism into a spearhead economic sector of the locality, creating a driving force for growth and economic structure shifting in Dien Bien.
The event will also strengthen the great unity bloc of ethnic groups, maintaining political stability and ensuring national defence and security of the northwestern mountainous province.
