Festival to Promote Traditional Cuisine from Three Regions of Vietnam

The Tourism Promotion Festival, themed “National Soul – Taste of Homeland”, is jointly organized by the Hanoi Tourism College, the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism with the purpose of promoting the stunning beauty of Quang Tri province as well as the colorful cultural heritage of Vietnam.

The event, held from April 28-30, will feature 80 food booths highlighting cuisine from three distinct regions across the nation. Attendees can look forward to savoring an array of delicious dishes from different parts of the country.

The Opening Ceremony of the much-anticipated festival will be held on April 28th, bringing together a vibrant mix of music, dance, and culinary performances to showcase the myriad colors of culture. Attendees will be captivated by the spectacular array of cultural delights on display, creating a truly unique experience. The festival will feature numerous special programs to draw in tourists and aid in the recovery of tourism in Quang Tri, and the nation as a whole. Additionally, visitors can enjoy an exciting Sunset Chill music show.

Speaking at a press conference this week, Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Nguyen Trung Khanh, announced the upcoming festival that seeks to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of both Vietnamese and Central cuisine. The festival will take place during the National Day of Solidarity and Reunification (April 30), an event that marks the unification of Vietnam. Mr. Khanh expressed his excitement for this major cultural and culinary event and urged locals and visitors alike to join in the festivities.

“This is also part of a series of stimulating initiatives to support the reopening of tourism in the new era, thereby drawing many tourists to Quang Tri Province,” he said.
