The 2024 Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival, themed “Hanoi Noshes,” came to a successful close on August 25 at the Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street in Hai Ba Trung district. This three-day festival celebrated the diverse and delectable culinary offerings of Hanoi, showcasing the city’s rich cultural heritage through its food.

According to the Organizing Committee, the festival attracted over 20,000 visitors, a testament to the allure of Hanoi’s unique culture and cuisine. The event provided a platform to promote the city’s culinary excellence and contributed to Hanoi being named TripAdvisor’s “Best Food Destination for 2024.”

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, highlighted the festival’s success in showcasing the city’s culinary reputation. The festival featured nearly 80 booths, each a vibrant display of Hanoi’s cultural and culinary heritage, offering a rich array of specialties such as pho bo, banh cuon, banh com, and Tay Ho lotus tea.



Representatives of the Hanoi Department of Tourism visit a booth at the festival, interacting with participants and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere.

The festival also showcased chic items from renowned craft villages, including Bat Trang ceramics, Van Phuc silk, and Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan products. These artisanal treasures added a unique charm to the event, captivating attendees with their exquisite craftsmanship.

Beyond the food and craft displays, the festival offered a diverse range of interactive activities. From street circus performances and culinary workshops to folk painting classes and ethnic music shows, the festival buzzed with energy and engagement, providing a holistic cultural experience for visitors.

According to the organizers, the festival aimed to present a dynamic and modern image of Hanoi while celebrating its rich cultural heritage. Dang Huong Giang also shared the Hanoi Tourism Department’s plans for future innovative promotional activities to attract tourists to the city throughout the year.
