The 2024 Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival, themed “Hanoi’s Culinary Delights,” came to a successful close on August 25 at the Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street in Hai Ba Trung district. This three-day festival celebrated the city’s rich and diverse culinary offerings, showcasing a mouth-watering array of local specialties.

According to the Organizing Committee, the festival attracted over 20,000 visitors, highlighting the strong appeal of Hanoi’s unique culture and cuisine. The event showcased the city’s culinary excellence and contributed to Hanoi being named TripAdvisor’s “Best Food Destination for 2024.”
At the closing ceremony, Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, commended the festival for its success in promoting the city’s culinary reputation. The festival featured nearly 80 booths, each displaying the vibrant cultural and culinary heritage of Hanoi. Visitors indulged in a variety of delicious specialties, such as pho bo (beef noodle soup), banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), banh com (young sticky rice cakes), and Tay Ho lotus tea, offering a taste of the capital’s diverse and delectable cuisine.

The festival also showcased chic and elegant items from famous craft villages, including Bat Trang ceramics, Van Phuc silk, and Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan products. These artisanal creations captivated visitors and showcased the talent and tradition of Hanoi’s craftspeople.
In addition to the delicious food and handcrafted products, the festival offered a range of engaging activities. Street circus performances, culinary workshops, folk painting classes, and ethnic music shows created a lively and interactive atmosphere for attendees to enjoy.
According to the organizers, the festival aimed to present a modern and dynamic image of Hanoi while celebrating its rich cultural heritage. Dang Huong Giang also shared that the Hanoi Tourism Department plans to introduce more innovative promotional activities to attract tourists to the city throughout the year.
