The 2024 Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival, themed “Hanoi Noshes,” came to a successful close on August 25 at the Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street in Hai Ba Trung district. This three-day festival celebrated the city’s diverse and delectable culinary offerings, attracting over 20,000 food enthusiasts.

With the theme “Hanoi Noshes,” the festival showcased the very best of Hanoi’s culinary scene, from classic favorites to hidden gems. The event featured nearly 80 booths, each offering a unique taste of the city’s rich food culture. Attendees indulged in signature dishes such as pho bo, banh cuon, and banh com, as well as exquisite Tay Ho lotus tea.

Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, commended the festival for its success in promoting Hanoi’s culinary excellence. This year’s event also played a pivotal role in Hanoi being crowned TripAdvisor’s “Best Food Destination for 2024.”

In addition to the culinary delights, the festival also showcased chic items from renowned craft villages. Bat Trang ceramics, Van Phuc silk, and Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan products captivated attendees with their artisanal beauty.

The festival offered a dynamic mix of experiences, including street circus performances, culinary workshops, folk painting classes, and ethnic music shows. These interactive activities added to the vibrant atmosphere and engaged visitors in celebrating Hanoi’s cultural heritage.

According to the organizers, the festival aimed to present a modern and dynamic image of Hanoi while preserving its rich cultural traditions. Dang Huong Giang also shared the Hanoi Tourism Department’s plans for future innovative promotional activities to attract tourists to the city throughout the year.
