According to Lee Hak Ju, Deputy Director General of the Korea Tourism Organization, Vietnam was the fifth-largest source market for inbound tourism to South Korea in 2023. The organization aims to promote Korea-related content in the Vietnamese market by developing diverse tourism products and unique marketing strategies. They look forward to the continued support and interest of Vietnamese travelers in South Korea.

Lee Jae Hoon, Representative of the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam, shared that South Korea received 420,000 Vietnamese tourists in 2023, while 3.6 million Korean tourists visited Vietnam. South Korea remains the largest international market for Vietnam, and the steady growth in Vietnamese visitors to South Korea in 2024 underscores the importance of the Vietnamese market to Korean tourism.

“We are thrilled to host the Korea Travel Festa and offer a range of exciting activities for visitors,” said Lee. “We hope that this event will inspire more Vietnamese travelers to choose South Korea as their next destination. Our goal is to welcome approximately 550,000 Vietnamese tourists this year, matching the pre-Covid-19 levels of 2019, and to further strengthen the tourism exchange between our two countries.”
