The Hanoi Festival of Creative Design, themed “Creative Intersection,” has emerged as a vibrant nexus for creative professionals, artists, designers, experts, and the local community this year.

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, emphasized the festival’s role in solidifying Hanoi’s position as a “Creative City” within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

“This festival is designed with the community at its heart, showcasing the creative talents of both artists and locals. It has not only drawn large crowds but also garnered significant support and participation from international friends,” she remarked.

The spouses of diplomats spent the day exploring the festival’s diverse venues.

Their first stop was the Hanoi Children’s Palace.

Under the theme “Nostalgia for the Future,” the Hanoi Children’s Palace hosted a variety of activities, including the “Cheo Meo” exhibition featuring works by autistic children, workshops, and installations by artist Vu Tan Dan.
The group was seen capturing moments at the Dien Hong Flower Garden.
They then explored the “Flow” Pavilion, a unique structure comprising two pavilions that guide visitors from an “open” space (Dien Hong Flower Garden) to a “closed” space (inside the Bac Bo Phu). This journey culminates in an art garden, where visitors can experience the seamless connection between the two pavilions, symbolizing the historical flow from heritage to the present.
They also engaged with the “Touch Point” installation on the iconic iron door of the Tonkin Palace.
The bullet holes and war remnants on the door have been creatively transformed by artists into captivating works of art.
The group explored the historical relics of Bac Bo Phu, also known as the Tonkin Palace.
Their next destination was Indochina University, renowned for its breathtaking architecture.
Curator Nguyen The Son presented the grand exhibition “Indochina Sense” to the distinguished visitors.
