THE HANOI TIMES — Vietnam celebrated the culmination of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party with a grand artistic spectacle and fireworks display at My Dinh National Stadium on January 23. The event attracted tens of thousands, including senior political leaders, to commemorate this significant milestone.
Titled *Under the Glorious Flag of the Communist Party*, the 100-minute program coincided with the 96th founding anniversary of the Communist Party on February 3. It was a collaborative effort by the Hanoi Party Committee, municipal authorities, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, and Vietnam Television.
Notable attendees included General Secretary To Lam, former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and other prominent current and former Party and state leaders. The event commenced with a solemn flag-raising ceremony, followed by an address from Hanoi Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

The event gathered approximately 25,000 attendees, comprising 15,000 delegates and guests, alongside nearly 10,000 performers. Photo: Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports

A 3,000-square-meter LED screen, layered mobile displays, 3D projection mapping, and synchronized sound and lighting enhanced the immersive experience.

The program was divided into three chapters. The first, “Epic Under The Party Flag,” recounted Vietnam’s revolutionary journey and its path to independence and reunification.

The second chapter, “With the Party, Complete Trust and Love,” highlighted the reform era and economic progress, showcasing daily life and labor across various sectors.

The final chapter, “Under the Glorious Flag of the Communist Party,” looked forward, emphasizing national unity and the implementation of resolutions from the 14th Congress.

The stage design vividly depicted August 19, 1945, a pivotal moment in the Vietnamese Revolution.

A powerful scene recreated the 1954 Dien Bien Phu campaign, a defining moment in Vietnam’s modern history.

Fireworks illuminated the sky at intervals throughout the program, culminating in a spectacular display above the stadium to close the event.

The visual masterpiece reinforced the evening’s themes of continuity, stability, and development.

As the program concluded, spectators lingered in the stands, capturing moments from an event that seamlessly blended political commemoration with a grand cultural performance at one of Hanoi’s largest venues.
