The Delegation of the European Union (EU) and EU Member States are delighted to announce the largest European cultural event in Vietnam in 2023, Europe Village. Taking place from May 12 to 14, this exciting event promises to offer a journey of discovery through the unique and varied cultures of Europe. Visitors can expect to engage with a variety of activities and experiences showcasing the best the continent has to offer. From delicious cuisine and captivating music, to art, literature, and dance, Europe Village will be a celebration of the diversity and beauty of European culture. With interactive exhibits, engaging talks, and fun activities, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend. Returning after five years, the event will bring together 16 EU countries and Ukraine as a special guest, to showcase the diverse cultural identity of European countries.
The event promises an intense line-up of over 20 musical performances by European and Vietnamese musicians, featuring a range of genres from jazz and pop-rock to classical rhythms. Singer Kenjah from France, accordion and Styrian harmonica artist Jakob Steinkellner from Austria, Hungarian DJ Regan Lili, German singer Kira Linn and her band Linntett, Italian singer Simona De Rosa, Ukrainian saxophonist Olha Lakantseva, Vietnamese cellist Bui Ha Mien, violinist Trinh Minh Hien, musician Tri Minh, and Icelandic singer-songwriter Disa Jakobs are all set to take the stage at the upcoming event. An array of talented international performers, this exciting lineup is sure to be one not to miss!
Visitors to Europe Village can experience a truly European atmosphere, complete with special presentations, interactive activities, and attractive decorations. One of the highlights of the event is the exhibition of Dany’s comic art, aimed at young visitors. Dany (whose real name is Daniel Henrotin) is a Belgian artist, born in 1943 in Wallonia, Brussels. His first comic book series, Olivier Rameau, was published in 1968 and he has since gone on to achieve great success throughout his career. With his work, Dany has managed to traverse a myriad of worlds, while always retaining a sense of humor and wit.
Another attraction is the awe-inspiring exhibition of watercolors entitled “Inspiring Shades of Europe”.

At the invitation of the Polish Embassy, members of the Hanoi Watercolor Artists Club created vibrant paintings featuring European landscapes. From iconic cities and buildings to stunning vistas, the paintings captured the beauty of the continent through the soft and gentle textures of watercolor.
According to the Delegation of the European Union, the relationship between the EU and Vietnam has been abundant and multifaceted. People-to-people exchanges, such as the Europe Village, are excellent examples of the fruitful cooperation between the two entities.
EU Ambassador to Vietnam, Giorgio Aliberti, expressed his excitement about the return of the Europe Village 2023 after a five-year absence. He expressed his hope that the event will be an exceptional occasion and will continue to attract many people from across the spectrum of Vietnamese society. He emphasized the EU’s motto–“united in diversity”–and said that the Europe Village 2023 will showcase the richness of European cultures.
