The festival aims to give Vietnamese audiences a unique insight into contemporary Italian cinema. Through six exceptional films, spanning various genres from drama to comedy, many of which have received awards at renowned festivals, the 2023 Italian Film Festival will showcase modern Italian society as it faces new challenges while simultaneously trying to connect with and preserve its ancient traditional heritage.
Among the films to be shown at the festival are The Hummingbird, Diabolik, September, Diabolik Ginko Attacks, Leonora, and The Return of Casanova.
Italian Ambassador to Vietnam, Marco Della Seta, stated that films are the most efficient and speedy way to introduce contemporary Italy to the Vietnamese people. “I hope that the Vietnamese audience will have a great time with their family and friends, relax, and thoroughly enjoy these captivating movies,” he added.
