The tournament came to a close after three months with the championship title bestowed to Saigon Heat.

There were many remarkable records during the tournament set by key players of the participating teams.
Shane Henry, striker of Hanoi Buffaloes, held two records for the most rebounds and blocks in a match.
At the VBA Award 2022 ceremony, this 2.03-meter tall player also won the two titles of Most Valuable Player of The Year and Defensive Player of The Year.

Henry’s significant contributions, especially his defensive skills, helped Hanoi Buffaloes become the runner-up of this year’s season.
Madarious Gibbs of Saigon Heat held the record for the most assists in a match.
Gibbs scored a total of 13 assists during Saigon Heat’s final game against Hanoi Buffaloes.
Playing for Cantho Catfish, DeAngelo Hamilton held the record for the most three-pointers, while Bueno Amaury took the record for the most steals in a game.

Richard Thomas of Ho Chi Minh City Wings had the most points in a game after scoring 46 points in the group-stage game against Cantho Catfish.
The excellent performance of Thomas, as well as Jeffery Stubbs of Hanoi Buffaloes and Desean Parsons of Ho Chi Minh City Wings, helped them score a triple-double, the achievement of a double-digit total in three of five statistical categories (assists, blocks, points, rebounds, and steals) over the course of a single game.
