The Director of the Board, Phan Ho, stated that the partnership aims to enhance the visitor experience at the heritage site and utilize digital technology for the conservation and promotion of its values to domestic and international tourists.

In the initial phase, starting from the beginning of 2022, a detailed VR360 virtual reality website has been developed, incorporating virtual voiceover features and an overview introduction. This website also showcases the 3D digital museum model on Bizverse’s 3D World Map.

In the subsequent phases, scheduled for late 2022 and 2023, the website will be upgraded with additional features, including an exhibition space on Metaverse. This enhancement will enable viewers to access the museum from anywhere, thereby increasing interactivity and providing a 360-degree viewing experience.

Over the years, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board has undertaken various projects to promote digital transformation, aiming to improve the efficiency of conservation activities and highlight the heritage’s values. These initiatives include the digitization of preserved artifacts and the implementation of information technology in managing and promoting the site. As a result, there has been a significant increase in tourist attraction, especially among foreigners, to this globally recognized cultural heritage site.

My Son, located in Duy Phu commune, Duy Xuyen district of the central province of Quang Nam, is Vietnam’s most renowned architectural complex built by the Cham people. Construction of this relic began in the late 4th century and continued until the 13th century. On December 1, 1999, the site was officially recognized as a world cultural heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
