Truc Nhi – Dieu Nhi are twins who were conjoined in the abdomen and pelvis with a rare position in world medical literature. The abnormal body shape caused the two babies to face many difficulties and inconveniences in the first year of life. When the two babies were 15 months old, the City Children’s Hospital came to a “bold but humane decision” to find a normal shape for the two babies.

After the separation surgery, Truc Nhi and Dieu Nhi recovered well. The hospital decided to let the two children return home to rest for a month to wait for the next surgery. Currently, Song Nhi can sit, stand and crawl on her own. It is expected that, after about 9-10 months, the two babies can stand on their own, their legs are straight, don’t need a handrail, and start learning to walk.

The two babies in turn had skin incision, muscle fascia, digestive organ separation, urogenital reconstruction, pelvis, skin pulling, and cast. From the evening of July 15, after major surgery, the two children began their journey of resuscitation, symptomatic intervention and post-operative complications.
