Tam Ky city is considered the political, economic, and cultural center of Quang Nam province. Dam River is located in Tam Thang commune with a natural area of about 180 hectares. All year-round, the water flows gently, and there are many fish, shrimp, and various migratory birds.

With that beauty and peace, Tam Ky is recognized as the “Asian City Landscape” by the United Nations Habitat Asia.

Local fishermen have used bamboo poles and other types of firewood to raise fish and grow tens of hectares of pink lotus, water lily, sedge, reed, etc. The colorful picture of Dam River is also created by the blue sky along with the calls of the birds, including thousands of white storks.

To attract more tourists and create a better experience for guests coming to the area, Tam Thang Commune Farmers’ Association has developed the services of boating, flower gazing, recording the beauty of the lotus, water lilies, and casting nets, fishing, etc.

Vietnam’s longest bamboo bridge
The Truong Giang Bridge , nearly 500m long and 1.8m wide, crossing over the Truong Giang River , linking Duy Thanh and Duy Nghia Commune in Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province in Central Vietnam , is the longest bamboo bridge in Vietnam .
