Ngu Binh Mountain, also known as Ngu Mountain or Hon Mo or Bang Mountain, stands at a height of 103 meters on the right bank of Huong River. Located approximately 4 kilometers to the south of Hue city, this majestic mountain is flanked by two smaller mountains, Ta Bat Son and Huu Bat Son. Throughout history, it has played a significant role in the Nguyen royal dynasty, serving as the chosen site for the Hue palace.
The Huong River originates from the Truong Son mountain range, where the Ta Trach and Huu Trach springs converge at the Tuan junction (also known as ‘Bang Lang’ in administrative terms). This convergence forms the beautiful Huong River.

The Huong River gracefully flows from south to north, passing by the sacred temples of Hon Chen and Ngoc Tran. It then curves northwest, meandering through the picturesque plains of Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan. Continuing its course, the Huong River flows to the northeast of Hue city, softly echoing the presence of the Truong Son mountain. Along its banks lies the final resting place of the Nguyen emperors, where they peacefully rest for eternity.
