The event was attended by former Vice President Truong My Hoa.

The Linh Son Holy Mother worship ceremony – Ba Den Mountain is considered a major folk festival in Tay Ninh in particular and the Southeast region in general.

The ceremony is the harmonious combination of Buddhist and folk rituals, featuring unique programmes.

The worship ritual is the fifth cultural heritage of Tay Ninh province recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage, following Don Ca Tai Tu Nam Bo (southern amateur singing) in the province, Ky Yen festival at Gia Loc communal house, Chhay-dam drum dance, and the craft of making Trang Bangrice paper.

On the occasion, Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee also awarded the title of Meritorious Artisan to seven folk artisans in the locality, while inaugurating the work of the site expansion of Ba pagoda at the Ba Den National Tourist Site.

The site covers an area of nearly 3,000 hectares, including over 1,100 hectares of special-use forests that are strictly protected under the Prime Minister’s Decision.
