300 Children in Ho Chi Minh City: Training with Real Madrid Foundation Coaches

The YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic, a renowned Corporate Social Responsibility program organized by YKK Holding Asia Pte. Ltd., in collaboration with RMF, kicks off its training course at the Mansion Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7, from Friday to Sunday.

On the inaugural day, a team of three expert RMF coaches shared their world-class coaching methods and techniques with over 30 local coaches, offering them a glimpse into the renowned training practices of Real Madrid.

For the remaining two days, a combination of RMF and Vietnamese coaches will take the lead, conducting training sessions for approximately 300 children from orphanages and underprivileged families. This offers a unique and invaluable opportunity for these young athletes to learn and develop their skills.

The YKK ASAO training course goes beyond football skills, as it also imparts important life values such as teamwork, perseverance, and a winning mentality. These soft skills are essential for the holistic development of the children, empowering them not just on the football pitch but also in their daily lives.

As a heartwarming conclusion to the training, YKK will generously donate all the footballs and training equipment to children’s villages, shelters, and schools. This gesture encourages the young players to continue pursuing their passion for the sport and fosters a healthy and active lifestyle.

This impactful event has left its mark on thousands of underprivileged children over the years, offering them a rare chance to train under the guidance of RMF’s distinguished football coaches.

At a press conference on Friday, Kosuke Miimi, President of YKK Holding Asia Pte. Ltd., emphasized the significance of this program, highlighting its benefits not just for the children but for the entire community. It creates much-needed sporting opportunities for children facing economic challenges and unites the community through a shared love of football.

With a rich history dating back to 2007, the YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic has consistently promoted the holistic development of children through sports, focusing on those from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 8 to 17. This noble initiative has reached countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and, of course, Vietnam.

This marks the fourth iteration of the program in Vietnam and the third time it has graced Ho Chi Minh City, following a successful session in Hanoi back in 2019.
