The Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee unveiled the innovative “Hoan Kiem Cuisine” app on August 15, taking the tourist experience in the district to new heights.

At the launch event, Vu Tuan Trung, Head of the District’s Economic Division, emphasized the Hoan Kiem People’s Committee’s recognition of food culture as a pivotal drawcard for visitors. They have tasked relevant agencies and the district’s tourism association with developing a strategy to showcase the district’s culinary uniqueness.

The app is a digital guide, offering a comprehensive restaurant and eatery directory, complete with all the essential details, images, and reviews. This makes it simple for tourists to navigate and select their preferred dining options, be it a cozy café or a Michelin-recognized restaurant.

Available on both iOS and Android, the app invites users to delve into the vibrant culinary scene of Hoan Kiem District. Its user-friendly interface allows visitors to effortlessly discover and locate their favorite dishes, from pho to late-night snacks.

With the Hoan Kiem Cuisine app, users can explore a diverse range of categories, including buns, congee, rice dishes, and the ever-popular Vietnamese pho. The app also caters to varied tastes, featuring restaurant options ranging from European cuisine to Asian delights and even Michelin-starred establishments.

Ordering is made easy with the app, as users can seamlessly connect and place orders directly. This hassle-free dining experience is sure to leave a positive impression on visitors.

Le Thi Minh Ly, Vice President of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, applauded the initiative, highlighting its potential to significantly boost tourism in the district. She emphasized the app’s thoughtful design, catering to the needs of both residents and tourists, while also promoting local culinary culture on a global scale.

The association plans to continue their support for the district, helping to showcase its cultural values and spread awareness through diverse media channels.

Hoan Kiem, nestled in the heart of the capital, is a cultural hub, rich in historical traditions and heritage. Beyond its tourist attractions and historical sites, Hoan Kiem is a food lover’s paradise, boasting thousands of eateries serving traditional Hanoi dishes.

In addition to the app, the district has also cataloged traditional products to enhance their market competitiveness. So far, Hoan Kiem District has registered 34 OCOP (One Commune One Product) certified products with the city People’s Committee, involving six local producers.
