For the second time, Finland’s pyrotechnic team dazzled their way to victory at the prestigious fireworks festival. Having previously claimed the title in 2019, they returned post-pandemic with a spectacular display, fusing vibrant lights with heart-pounding music to create an unforgettable 20-minute performance. Their triumph earned them the grand prize of $20,000.
On July 13, Finland illuminated the night sky with a breathtaking exhibition of 10,000 fireworks, captivating audiences with their precise choreography and innovative use of colorful lights. The display, set to a pulsating soundtrack, left viewers in awe and cemented Finland’s reputation as a powerhouse in pyrotechnics.
The festival also witnessed an impressive debut by China’s Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display, who kicked off the final round with their “Dazzling Da Nang” show. Their performance, a harmonious blend of slow melody and traditional Chinese musical rhythms, earned them the runner-up spot and a prize of $10,000.
The competition, which took place over several nights, featured teams from across the globe, including France, the US, Italy, Germany, Poland, China, Finland, and Vietnam. Italy’s Martarello Group was crowned the audience’s favorite, while France’s Arteventia team received the innovation prize, showcasing the diverse talents on display.
Da Nang, Vietnam, has proudly hosted this fireworks festival since 2008, attracting international talent and dazzling audiences with each edition. Previous winners include Canada’s Davis Whysall in 2008 and Italy’s Martarello Group, who dominated in 2017 and 2018. Italian pyrotechnic prowess was further highlighted by Parente Fireworks, who took home the top prize in 2011 and 2012.
The festival, a celebration of light, music, and cultural fusion, brought joy and wonder to all who attended, leaving a lasting impression and setting a high bar for future competitions.
