The Vietnam Culture and Tourism Festival in South Korea is back and bigger than ever! According to the Yeogi Eottae booking platform, Vietnam is experiencing a surge in hotel bookings from South Korean travelers for the peak summer season. In fact, bookings by South Korean visitors to Vietnam have tripled compared to the same period in 2023, solidifying Vietnam’s position as a leading destination in the region. This trend is further emphasized by statistics released by the Yeogi Eottae website, indicating that Vietnam and its Southeast Asian neighbors are at the forefront of hotel bookings in the area.
The strong tourism ties between Vietnam and South Korea were further strengthened in December 2022, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Vietnam National Tourism Authority and the South Korean National Tourism Agency. This agreement laid the foundation for enhanced cooperation and mutual promotion of tourism between the two countries.
In 2023, Vietnam rolled out the red carpet to 3.6 million Korean visitors, making South Korea the top source of international tourists. Popular destinations for Korean travelers include the imperial city of Hue, the bustling cities of Danang and Hoi An, the beach havens of Nha Trang and Phu Quoc, and the charming towns of Quy Nhon and Da Lat.
