The Vietnam Association of Film Promotion and Development, together with the Da Nang administration and the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC), are proud to announce an upcoming event celebrating cinematic excellence.

This festival will showcase the very best of Asian and Vietnamese cinema, with a particular focus on uncovering emerging talent and celebrating outstanding achievements in filmmaking.

An esteemed panel of judges will decide on the winning entries, with separate categories for Asian and Vietnamese films. The Asian films category will be judged by a diverse group of industry professionals, including Chinese-French filmmaker and author Dai Sijie, former Cannes Cinéfondation general manager Georges Goldenstern, and Berlin International Film Festival executive director Meriette Rissenbeek, among others.

The Vietnamese films category will be assessed by a panel of experts, featuring Chinese director Guan Jinpeng, Vietnamese producer Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, and People’s Artist Le Khanh. This ensures that the unique perspectives and storytelling traditions of Vietnamese cinema are recognized and celebrated.

Additionally, the NETPAC Award for Excellent Vietnamese Film will be determined by a jury consisting of prominent figures in international and Vietnamese cinema, such as Jean-Marc Thérouanne, artistic director of the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema, and PhD. Mara Matta from Sapienza University in Rome, Italy.

Throughout the festival, a series of workshops will be held to foster knowledge exchange and provide a platform for young filmmakers to connect with industry experts. These workshops are designed to nurture the next generation of cinematic talent and create a space for collaboration and creative growth.

We are thrilled to be bringing this event to life and inviting film enthusiasts, emerging talent, and industry professionals to join us in celebrating the very best of Asian and Vietnamese cinema.
