Nature and cultural retreats are in high demand, and Hanoi takes the lead as a top choice for those seeking a blend of rich history and modern city life.

The 2024 Summer Tourism Report also highlights varied preferences across different traveler types. Solo adventurers favor city explorations, families opt for nature retreats, groups lean towards scenic destinations, and couples enjoy a mix of vibrant cities and peaceful escapes.

Hanoi, a vibrant metropolis, is especially popular among solo travelers seeking unique urban adventures.

Varun Grover, Country Head of Booking.com in Vietnam, sheds light on the evolving travel trends: “Summer has always been a busy travel season, but we’re witnessing a notable shift in how Vietnamese travelers approach their vacations. They are exploring both local and international destinations, with a strong preference for culturally rich or leisure-focused spots, and a growing appetite for immersive experiences.”

The predictions for the summer of 2024 are based on an analysis of summer holiday searches from June 15 to August 15, capturing the diverse preferences of solo travelers, families, and groups of friends.
